These stencils are especially made for the stenciling technique. With this technique stencil pastel is applied along the edges of the stencil, after which the pastel is rubbed into the opening of the stencil. Each package comes with a numbered example enclosed, which makes it much easier to stencil the design. Simply follow the numbers on the example to create the desired image. The self-adhesive backing makes sure that the stencil stays neatly in place while rubbing the color.
